Note. Yandex Browser checks archives and executable files for viruses and adware while they are downloading.

  1. Follow the link to download the file.

  2. Tap Yes.

You can monitor the file download progress in the Android notification bar (to open the bar, swipe down from the top of your smartphone screen). When the download is complete, a message appears in the notification bar.

Note. If you don't want to see such messages in the notification bar, open the settings, go to More settings, and turn off File download confirmation.

This opens a standard application for printing or saving the file as PDF.

Restriction. Page saving is available in Android 4.4 or higher.

  1. Open the Android notification bar (to open the bar, swipe down from the top of your smartphone screen).

  2. Find the name of the file being downloaded and tap Stop and then Continue or Cancel.

In the notification bar

  2. Tap the file name.

  3. Select the app to open the file with if you haven't assigned a default app for this file type.

After opening the file, the download notification won't be shown in the notification bar.

In downloads

  1. Open any tab.

  2. Tap in the browser (if you don't see this button, press the menu button on your smartphone).

  3. Tap Downloads. A list of downloaded files opens in the Android download manager.

  4. Tap the file name.

  5. Select the app to open the file with if you haven't assigned a default app for this file type.

  4. Select a file and delete it using the download manager.

To delete all downloaded files:

  1. Tap in the browser (if you don't see this button, press the menu button on your smartphone).

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Go to the Privacy section.

  4. Tap Clear data.

  5. Make sure that Downloads is selected.

  6. Deselect all the other options (if you only want to clear your downloads).

  7. Tap Clear data.

  8. Confirm deletion.
